Thomas Jefferson High School (TJ) Student Selected to Lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the Opening of the General Session of the Colorado House of Representatives

Thomas Jefferson High School Senior Koe Gonzales to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance at the Colorado State Capitol with the Colorado House of Representatives at the opening of their General Session.

Denver, Colorado, January 23, 2014: Denver Public Schools (Thomas Jefferson High School) Senior Koe Gonzales was invited to lead the Colorado House of Representatives in the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of their General Session Meeting at the Colorado State Capitol Building on Thursday, January 30, 2014. The event will take place at 9:00 am in the House Chamber. This is a great honor to be given to this young man. He excels in all of his academics and currently holds a 4.09 GPA. He is a senior leader in the schools INTERACT Club, and is a large part of the driving force that keeps that organizations bond extra strong with it’s parent club The Denver Tech Center ROTARY Club. Additionally, Mr. Gonzales is a key member of the Thomas Jefferson High School DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) organization. Another example of this young man’s proven drive is his ongoing and continued success as a Senior Officer with the JROTC Organization at his high school. Pictured below, TJHS Student Koe Gonzales recently met with Congresswomen Diane DeGette, 1st Congressional District of Colorado at the Colorado State Capitol in the Old Supreme Court Chambers.
